What is a Giclée?
Giclée (pronounced “zhee-clay” – a French term meaning “spray of ink”) prints are digitally produced,
museum quality reproductions of an original work of art. The exceptional fidelity attainable by this new
technology recreates all the continuous tone characteristics, detail and color saturation of the original
painting. Giclées can be printed on a variety of substrates including high quality archival papers and
canvas. Each one is individually produced, inspected, signed and dated by the artist. In addition to
digital manipulation, the Giclée may be further enhanced by selective over-painting by the artist.

Giclée Canvas Paintings
In this process, digital technology and artistic creativity have been combined to produce, on canvas,
fine art paintings of exceptional quality, color and clarity. Once the Giclée image has been put on
canvas and has been meticulously inspected and approved by the artist, it is then mounted on a
traditional canvas stretcher frame. Additional enhancements may then be hand-painted on the canvas after
which it is signed and dated. All hand painting is done personally by the artist, essentially making it
another original work. In addition to the subtle texture and feel of the canvas and the authenticity of
a stretcher mounted painting, the Giclée canvas also offers the benefit of framing without glass.

Fine Art Giclée Paper Prints
Each print is produced one at a time, under the watchful eye of the artist and is dependant upon his
final approval. It is then signed and dated and essentially becomes a “Limited Edition” of one. Only
museum quality, acid free, fine art papers are used for reproductions of these works.
